Over the past few years, I have visited many different experienced therapists in my hometown who helped me to work out my issues. While in St Petersburg I was feeling really panicky, restless and one of my local friends recommended me to sign up for an appointment with Igor — it was not an easy decision since I am from Birmingham, UK, and was really worried about the language barrier and some of the cultural differences. Although I wasn’t able to fully express my thoughts in Russian, Igor was able to converse both in English and Russian. Despite my initial uncertainty, Igor has proven to be an exceptionally professional doctor who was able to open me up and provide guidance in overcoming my problems in two languages. After a short period of time, the therapy seemed like a regular conversation with a close friend and that, the ability to do such a thing, is, I guess, one of the most important things about a good psychiatrist.
